After an introduction by her mother, Tina Knowles, and a speech by Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé took the stage with a powerful address about the country's future, encouraging Harris supporters to get out and vote. "We are at the precipice of an enormous shift. I'm not here as a celebrity. I'm not here as a politician. I'm here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where ewe have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, our past or present or future," she said.
Beyonce continued, "We're a part of something bigger. We must vote, and we need you," before introducing Vice President Harris. This is the first time Beyonce has publicly endorsed Harris, as she previously gave permission for the campaign to use her song "Freedom" in rallies and commercials.
