Ashley, 32, explained that while she was ready to work on her relationship with Tyler, she admitted that she needed to know more about the situation, including the dynamic between him and the people he allegedly donated his sperm to.
"I had a very close friend," Tyler explained. "Her and her wife wanted to have a baby, and they couldn't afford a sperm donor. I thought that was God telling me, you know, 'Help someone else.' It felt good."
When Ashley asked if Tyler's children knew what he looked like, his response was shocking.
"I don't think so," Tyler, 35, replied.
Tyler said in the previous Love Is Blind episodes that he was not involved in the children's lives, whatsoever, and he was simply a sperm donor. However, just last week, the woman claiming to be the mother of Tyler's children, Bri Thomas, shared some photos and video clips that showed Tyler interacting with the children during the holidays.
"We can start with the smallest lie regarding my 'uninvolved' children's father. 'I spent Christmas last year alone, cooking greens....' Tyler did not spend Christmas '22 alone," Bri wrote in the since-deleted Instagram post that included timestamped photos on October 10. "He spent it at his mom's with family, that included the oldest, Kyreaux."
A few hours later, Bri posted a clip of Tyler helping his alleged son ride a hoverboard around. In the footage, the little boy who just turned 7 years old in September, according to Bri's Instagram page, could be heard referring to Tyler as "dad."
"'Family... Holidays... what does that look like.' Here a few videos three days after Christmas '22 (Filming occurred October 2023. Which makes this the Christmas before filming)," Bri wrote alongside the since-deleted video clip. "My children love their 'Dad.' To think that he has reduced them to 'sperm babies,' when I was told he was going on the show to be able to better provide for them, is the most absurd and hurtful thing ever. My kids don't deserve this."
Tyler has maintained in the episodes of Love Is Blind so far that he had no parental responsibilities when it came to the children he fathered. However, Life & Style exclusively revealed that might not be the truth because Tyler's child custody case had been reopened after he finished filming the season.
Bri filed a complaint for petition for custody in Baltimore City Circuit Court in October 2021, and that case was settled the following year on May 6, according to the court documents viewed by Life & Style. Three months after Love Is Blind season 7 wrapped, a petition was filed to reopen the case in January. The case is ongoing with the next disposition hearing scheduled for November 15.
The rumors about Tyler fathering three children began shortly after Love Is Blind season 7 premiered on October 2. Neither Tyler nor Ashley have yet to publicly address the situation.
The Love Is Blind season 7 finale premieres on Netflix on October 23, and the reunion is scheduled to air on October 30.
