According to a September 2024 survey of internet users in the United Kingdom (UK), half of respondents reported thinking it was acceptable for a parent to track their children's location via app, provided the child was aware of this. Approximately four in 10 reported thinking that the location tracking of kids was acceptable, and whether the kids were aware of such an app on their devices. Only four percent of the surveyed UK respondents reported thinking such apps were not an acceptable parental control method for kids.
