October's full moon on Oct. 17 -- also known as the Hunter's Moon -- was not only a stunning supermoon, it was the brightest one of 2024.

This particular supermoon was extra special since its orbit was closest to Earth, which made it appear brighter than any other supermoons this year, per Space.com.

NASA also confirmed that October's supermoon is the third of four consecutive supermoons, meaning skygazers will have one more chance to catch a supermoon on Nov. 15.

According to astrologer Valerie Mesa, this supermoon was astrologically one of the "most potent and tumultuous" full moon phenomenons of the year because it was in fiery Aries, causing Cardinal signs to feel extremely impulsive during this time.
