According to a report this week, Chelsea have sent scouts along to watch a South American forward currently playing in the Serie A in Italy.
The Blues are looking at new attackers and as we know, they will always be keeping an eye on opportunities to bring in new talents.
They have been signing up rising stars from around the globe and now have a host of talents on the books, but they will always be looking for more.
Chelsea have now joined Arsenal in sending scouts to take a look at Bologna forward Santiago Castro, according to an exclusive report from Caught Offside this week.
The report claims that both Arsenal and Chelsea have been among the Premier League clubs to recently scout talented Bologna forward Santiago Castro, who has impressed in both Serie A and the Champions League.
Their sources have informed CaughtOffside that Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Everton and Nottingham Forest have all been closely monitoring him in recent times, and were left impressed with what they saw.
Castro is 20-years-old and is an Argentine youth international up to U20 level so far. He seems to be another real prospect for the future.
This season so far he has bagged 3 goals in 9 appearances in Serie A and he can also play anywhere across the front three.
I am sure Chelsea will be keeping an eye on him if the other top clubs are as well, and perhaps this is one that might end up developing down the line.
Chelsea seem to love a rising South America star, having already signed the hugely talented Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez. Both players are too young to join the club now and will have to wait until the summer of 2025 to officially join.
Castro could join whenever though, already being 20.
