AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Thursday, the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center at Augusta University hosted its sixth pitch competition for community solutions.
The annual competition features a new entrepreneur track for teams to pitch their ideas on how to address challenges and improve the community.
We spoke with Chandler Covert, a p.a. student at Augusta University, who created a pill organizer for people who need to keep their medications on track.
He says he came up with the idea after his father had medical issues. "I'm ecstatic this is so crazy honestly I have had this idea for a long time with my mom as well trying to figure out something for my dad and I don't know this is just a dream it's cool," said Covert.
Another invention discussed included golf carts and vans for certain patients.
