Nobody wins so everybody wins

Geno Mrosko is a lifelong pro wrestling fan who has been covering it since becoming a Manager at Cageside Seats in 2011.

This week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured Carmelo Hayes and Andrade squaring up for what was supposed to be the seventh and final match in what has been a fantastic series of matches. The winner would likely earn a shot at LA Knight and the United States championship.

He was inserted as special guest referee for this match, for reasons that became painfully clear shortly into it.

Both men accidentally got him involved and after taking one bump too many, Knight snapped and laid them both out. Then he went and rang the bell himself, declared himself the winner of the whole thing, and took off to the back.

Yeah.

He was met there by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who informed him that his actions only led to a triple threat being made for the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event in Saudi Arabia. That gives us a situation where nobody won the match but, somehow, everybody won.
