The multihyphenate says he is going to drop his last album soon
Rap impresario Clifford "T.I." Harris Jr. has announced his retirement from the hip-hop game after more than 20 years.
The Trap Musik mastermind said on 96.1 on Oct. 9 that his participation in the Jingle Ball 2024 concert in December will be the last time he graces a stage as a performer, adding that he doesn't want it anymore.
"I appreciate y'all," T.I. told the 96.1 hosts. "Offering me my last working gig. I do not need the money anymore, and I will not be performing."
The hosts were thrown into a state of discombobulation by Tip's shocking announcement.
"I don't wanna do it anymore," he reiterated. "I don't want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for they entertainment anymore."
The Grand Hustle founder and CEO told the radio audience that his last performance will take place at State Farm Arena on Dec. 19. He will share the Jingle Ball stage that includes T-Pain, Sexyy Red, Tinashae and Khalid.
This is not the first time the rapper, actor, movie director and businessman has hinted that his illustrious career was fast coming to a conclusion.
