The Disco Biscuits Perform Studio Album 'Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens' In Atlanta

Proceeds from the show originally scheduled in Asheville went to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

The Disco Biscuits were supposed to play a concert last night at the Salvage Station in Asheville, North Carolina but the music venue was sadly destroyed by Hurricane Helene. Bisco instead performed in Atlanta - with proceeds going to relief efforts in Western North Carolina - and treated fans at Terminal West to a complete presentation of their 2011 studio album, Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens.

The Disco Biscuits coordinated with Conscious Alliance for the Atlanta benefit concert. Conscious Alliance is providing ongoing support for communities in Western North Carolina ravaged by the storm.

The setlist consisted of the nine-song Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens tracklist unfolding in album order over the course of the two-set show. The band - guitarist Jon Gutwillig, bassist Marc Brownstein, keyboardist Aron Magner and drummer Allen Aucoin - jammed their way into the album's opening track, "The Great Abyss," which nodded to their recent Halloween show with samples of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The seamless set one continued with "Spraypaint" going into "Feeling Twisted" and then "Bombs" before resolving "Spraypaint" ahead of set break.

The record recreation resumed at the onset of set two, with an unfinished "Neck Romancer" segueing into "Portal To An Empty Head." The band then offered "Catalyst," which teed up their return to complete "Neck Romancer." The last two Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens tracks, "We Like To Party" and "Lunar Pursuit" were presented with the former encapsulating the latter.

Sunday's encore was "To Be Continued," the final track from the Disco Biscuits' 2024 studio album, Revolution In Motion.
