ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- The Marshall County Coroner's Office said a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Saturday morning.

Around 6 a.m., the Marshall County Coroner's Office responded to an accident near the intersection of U.S. Highway 431 and Floyd Drive in Albertville.

The coroner's office said the accident involved a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.

The coroner's office said the identity of the pedestrian cannot be released yet due to pending family notifications.

The Albertville Police Department and the Marshall County Coroner's Office are currently investigating the incident.
