BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A shooting early Friday morning ended with a man dead, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Around 1:54 a.m., sheriff's deputies responded to the 1300 block of Ogden Street and discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Kern Medical and was later pronounced deceased.

This is an ongoing investigation. The Kern County Coroner's Office will release the name of the deceased at a later date.
