WINDHAM COUNTY -- Vital Partnerships, a partner of the Supporting Young Neurodiverse Children and Caregivers Collaborative (SYNC), announced the launch of its autism needs assessment survey.
The survey is considered a critical tool for gathering information that will help enhance support systems for families with children on the autism spectrum in Southern Vermont. The survey focuses on children ages 1 to 5 who have been diagnosed with autism, are awaiting diagnosis, or are suspected of having autism.
The SYNC Collaborative, a partnership of local organizations, is leading this initiative. The collaboration includes the Winston Prouty Center for Child and Family Development, Early Education Services, Early Childhood Special Education of WSESU, United Way of Windham County, Vermont Department of Health and Vital Partnerships.
"As both a programs director and a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I understand the importance of building strong, accessible support systems," said Adriana Negrón, programs director at Vital Partnerships. "This survey is a key step in ensuring we address the unique needs of our families and work together to close the gaps in services."
